Hello October! ๐ค๐
How are you all doing? Iโm so excited itโs fall! Lately, Iโve been really loving the foggy and rainy weather since it helps set the mood for moody fall-themed paintings! ๐ง๏ธ
Hereโs my first entry for Witchtober! I still donโt have a title for this yet! I really want to try something a little different since I feel like Iโve been doing a lot of portrait paintings and not enough paintings in horizontal/landscape format.
I also want to experiment using darker and muted colours for this month! ๐
I ordered the September rewards (Celestial Library + Fall Bakery) and it said they should arrive by October 14th! Iโm hoping it arrives earlier! ๐ค
Iโm going to be in Quebec tomorrow to celebrate the long weekend + Thanksgiving! So Iโll be back in time to mail the rewards and start a new painting next week :)

Hey Laura! For the foggy effect, I use a large pale blue airbrush (Photoshop default brush) or you can use any brush as long as it's soft/airbrush looking and paint straight across the horizon. I lower the opacity to 10-20% percent. Using the same brush, I create another layer and add soft dabs near the sparkling lights, and set the layer to overlay. This extra glow will help illuminate the scene! I hope that helps :)
