Very cool shootout. Both mics sound great and it's hard to pick which one sounds better. They definitely have their own voicings. But I definitely like the comparisons

2018-03-27 12:23:21 +0000 UTCok i wasn't entirely correct - technically the small diaphragms are more suited for an even frequency response - but the larger diaphragm can shape the sound in a more pleasing way, so they actually emphasize lower frequencies

2018-03-26 18:13:33 +0000 UTCthis is gonna be interesting - in theory the larger diaphragms of the at's will capture more low-mid/bass than the rodes (which you noted as sounding tinny), as the small diaphragms are more suited for capturing higher frequencies
