2025-08-16 15:51:30 +0000 UTCThe naming and timing of the tournaments always confused me lol the manga was helpful for keeping better track of the timing since they show the calendar and time spent more often that was helpful since I just had no clue what Japanese high school calendar system was; but also I always love when they show the characters at home! Itโs fun to get to see their home life, and I wish we got to see more of them, people were speculating for a long time if Kageyama is a high school kid that lived alone โ I donโt think thatโs the case and heโs just an only child with very normal parents (who got an insane volleyball idiot for a kid lol) but I do think itโs funny that we truly no nothing about his life besides volleyball, his room is clean but bc thereโs virtually nothing in it just bare minimum, heโs so head empty just volleyball; also the fact that Tsukki is now de facto dog walker of Kageyama and Hinata is so funny lmao Tsukki who originally wanted to not be serious about the sport just has cursed fortune to be surrounded by passionate volleyball idiots whether itโs Bokuto+Kuroo or our karasuno weirdo duo, he will be goaded into physical activity ๐

Iโm SO excited ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ The spring tournament got its name bc it used to be held in the spring-time, but the Japanese system changed the timing and moved it to January so that seniors could participate before graduation! The name just stuck. And thatโs also why Shimizu said back there that there isnโt much time left to grad. The tournament also goes for like a few days? Like a week almost so itโs long. And yes girls and boys have separate tournaments! Also fun fact, Daichiโs birthday is the 31st of December! So he had a crazy nightmare the night of his birthday and into the new year ๐ญ
