Backhoe is Finally Back Together!

I think this is the most time I have ever spent editing a video. I hope it was worth it.

Backhoe is Finally Back Together!

Old habits die hard!

Dale Tractor

I did have a garbage truck here this week...

Watch Wes Work

Ah, opening a shop that solely repairs rusty plow trucks? “Tetanus Wes’s” 😂

Dale Tractor

Yes, absolutely! Thank you Wes, I always enjoy your videos!

Daniel Peterson

I guess that's a good thing?

Watch Wes Work

This thing is definitely cursed.

Watch Wes Work

We are not moving. Just making an adjustment.

Watch Wes Work

Heh. I hope it's not overly dramatic.

Watch Wes Work

It's an old habit from other places I have worked. Better to ruin your day than ruin your night.

Watch Wes Work

It'll be fine!

Watch Wes Work

I'd like to grind up some the cars I've had to work on...

Watch Wes Work

More videos I hope.

Watch Wes Work

Good point. Try new things, but remember you might cut your leg off!

Watch Wes Work

This one has everything! Drama, suspense, great storytelling! And a twist ending? Never in a million years would I have thought I’d get emotional watching a backhoe transmission repair video! Outstanding job Wes!

Daniel Peterson

some designs are cursed. but the machines are out there, and cheap due to the maintenance struggle. so shops end up with nasty Machi es and. customers who got the cheap, not willing to pay many repair hours.

adorfer

So good. Gotta be a satisfaction to breathe new life into a piece of history like that. Really worth the watch. I look forward to the next phase.

Michael S Wilhelm

Awesome video!

Jasper Ridley

So either you bought a new shop or you’re moving. Change and growth is good, hope one day the channel is making way more than you did working. But I hope you’ll also still continue to make content.

Paul Leck

Watch Wes Grind sounds wrong on so many levels.

Darran

Come for the Hitchcock style narrative, stay for the emotional manipulation.

Rod Fitzsimmons Frey

He does have that antique meat grinder.

Taylor Jennette Zhu

I'm glad I am not the only one superstitious about things like this.

Eric Corse

I don't know if I can handle the Wes vague outros. I'm was just yelling "WHAT"

JJ Smiles

He could be converting it to a butcher's shop judging by the 2nd channel.

Darran

I think Wes is selling out. He's going to open up a franchise of Jiffy lubes.😁

Taylor Jennette Zhu

Gotta love how everyone is worried. Wes’ responses are basically, nope, hold my beer.

Nick Vogel

All the best Wes. I know that a silly little comment here doest mean much, but we're here for ya however we can help!

Chris Jenkins

Mother of all cliffhangers

Garrett

Great content and great video editing. Well, I think there might come something new but Wess will take us along, so it will be fine :)

thedeafguitarist

Love the video by the way Wes, especially the outro. I'm very interested in what you have planned next!

David Yates

This reminds me in a small way of a story told to me by a former co-worker. Some time in the 1980s He rebuilt the engine in his MK2 Ford Cortina but just couldn't bring himself to turn the key, he was so nervous about having done something wrong. He felt so foolish that he couldn't ask a neighbour, so he called out the breakdown recovery service that he was a member of. When the patrolman arrived he burst out laughing when he was told the reason for the callout. It started and ran just fine by the way!

David Yates

There are new things with skills and there are new things without them. I've never felled a tree with a stone axe, but I have with a single-bit steel axe. So, using stone would be taxing, but the technique and pacing would already be known. This is not the same as taking a stone axe woodsman and handing them a chainsaw. Novelty is good for the brain, and for the soul.

CapnMac82

Oh we'll still be working. Probably more than ever.

Watch Wes Work

That airplane is known as the Glacier Girl.

Britt A Releford

Have you won the lottery lol?

Darran

There was another one where they recovered a P38 Lightning from inside a glacier. It was really in bad shape, but I believe it was restored to flying condition.

Watch Wes Work

It's great.

Watch Wes Work

Wtf we’re not going to see Wes work any more very sad day love watching you and all your antics and mind boggling repairs and fixes 🥹🥹

Greg Leach

Great video Wes! As a US Air Force brat, I grew up around or on Air Force bases. I used ride my bike down to the flight line to check out the B-52s and F4 Phantoms parked there. To this day, I have an interest in military aircraft, especially the B-29. I too remember the “Kee Bird” documentary and knew exactly what your reference to it meant. The crew got so close to succeeding but ultimately failed. It was heart-wrenching watch that beautiful bird burn to the ground or ice in this case. I hope your new plans will allow you to keep making videos as they are some of the best on Youtube.

Britt A Releford

Wasn't expecting that ending, hope everything is ok.

Darran

Ha!

Jay and Kate

I worked in foundry too (Grede)…great experience, but never again - especially in summer.

Jay and Kate

Wes, if you’re looking for a change, move to South Dakota, RDO or Titan would hire you in a second. The school district would hire your wife in a second. Plus no state income tax, a better State government, and the winters aren’t much worse than Illinois.

Bill Scott

I’ll be excited to hear it

Josh Hayes

Maybe it's a tactic to keep anyone from stealing their designs.

Watch Wes Work

So did I, Foundry Service Co. Troy NC. Have a nice Sunday.

Charles Blair

Tough to make a living there.

Watch Wes Work

It's absolutely normal to want to do new things! Whoever's said otherwise must be pretty bored. In regards to British stuff, I've always assumed that British engineers just hate British mechanics a little bit more than most, I've seen some crazy stuff especially with stuff of the Whitworth era, god help me I have seen too much of that, and don't even get me started on Land Rover, Jaguar and such.

Kowyn Hibbert (Warrior of the Rusty Wrench)

Heh. It's all good.

Watch Wes Work

I dunno about you, but here we have a couple shops that specialize in Subarus. They can do head gaskets one handed wearing a blindfold.

Watch Wes Work

He's changing fields... to philosophy.

Adam McKnight

Editing is a bottomless hole of things to learn.

Watch Wes Work

I can't. I worked in a foundry. We had guys who would grind castings all day every day with pneumatic grinders in a hot dusty shop and they would beg to work overtime.

Watch Wes Work

All of a sudden the Q&A is going to be a lot more telling 😂

Josh Hayes

Great video, can you imagine the poor guy who had to assemble cage less bearings all day long, week after week, etc.

Bill Scott

Well done. You’re not allowed to stop taking customers until I get my Subaru to you for head gaskets 🧐😂

Jay and Kate

Love it Wes, your becoming an editing master. Although Id watch it if it was edited with a hacksaw too. Cheers!

Chris Jenkins

Any video is worth watching!

Matt Andrejak

Let’s gooooo. Wes is working and I am watching 🤣

Greg Leach

Made my sunday morning just now! Thanks for the video Wes
