Fixing the Cheap Skid Steer is not without Hazards...

Yee Haw!

Fixing the Cheap Skid Steer is not without Hazards...

Comments

We're getting there!

Watch Wes Work

Skidsteers normally have a pretty rough life, some time and effort you’ll have it good as new!!!

Richard Picco

I don't think I'll even try. I've never seen another skid steer with a brake.

Watch Wes Work

Yes sir. Took a while to calm down after that!

Watch Wes Work

I think that will work. I have to move the brackets and widen the latch pins, but the bones can be saved.

Watch Wes Work

Sorry guys, it's been tough to do merch. It's normally wifey's department and she is swamped this year.

Watch Wes Work

I might have picked up a fancy little toy to make the job easier...

Watch Wes Work

I've never seen it done that way. It was suggested that I move the bushing up as high as possible to prevent tipping.

Watch Wes Work

I think it's a pretty good machine actually, it's just worn out. 6000 hours on a skid steer is like 16,0000 hours on a tractor.

Watch Wes Work

Maybe. I stopped making the shorts after other channels reported some negative effects.

Watch Wes Work

Love the music and format of the videos. Any chance we could get some impromptu YT shorts again anytime soon? Thanks man

Justin Barber

so, what you're saying... Don't buy a Thomas?

Russ Wideman

Looking better and better! If that's the same E-brake set up as the T 133 I wouldn't bother with it, fought with ours to fix it, it got stuck on one day and burnt up immediately, the Thomas easily overcame it, never even notice till we started to smell it.

Kowyn Hibbert (Warrior of the Rusty Wrench)

Pucker factor 11 on that runaway. Excellent save though!

Matt Londergan

And speaking of Max…t-shirts ? Other Max merch for his adoring base ?

James Riordan

I like the Segway’s like the one with Max staring down the road at that rabbit. Seems like he knew that he was never going to catch it…

Jeff Chandler

Maybe bust out the plasma cutter for the quick attach and cut it narrower?

Jeff Chandler

Crushing the intro and soundtrack !

James Riordan

Hmm, bad bucket, bad attachment--for some videos that wants getting welders and plasma cutters out. But that same sort of content also involves capturing porcupines rather than watching bunnies, too :D Once again, Wes' content leads the way.

CapnMac82

Help an old sailor out here--isn't there a "dodge" where a person can set a broach on a lathe tail stock to keep it squared up (if not being good for lathe heath overall). Or is that a Machinist's Mate yarn ginned up to allow goldbricking?

CapnMac82

I just couldn’t believe she would interrupt my video with her coffee sipping. The unmitigated gall.

Dale Tractor

Headphones are a must in my house!

Watch Wes Work

In closed captioning fluid draining noise is often "applause" which I find appropriate. CC gets lets questions from my wife.

Tom Hollowell

Scott at CWM seems to have a lot of vehicles with locked up motors!

Sue Rollinson

There's no accounting for some people's taste...

Watch Wes Work

Perpetual content machine!

Watch Wes Work

It has a locked up engine. I've two trucks I want to put together.

Watch Wes Work

Deer in the headlights!

Watch Wes Work

I'm actually not sure any parts are available for these machines.

Watch Wes Work

My wife this morning: “Why is it that every Sunday morning you watch a weird video?” Me: “What do you mean?” “I’m trying to enjoy my coffee and the view of the outdoors, and every Sunday morning all I hear is…” she then began imitating hydraulic oil coming out of the cylinder, the air impact, banging noises, engine running………yeah. So my wife may not be a good person to participate in your ASMR pilot program once that comes to fruition :)

Dale Tractor

Your whittling away at it. Keep going. Your engineering and machining skills are amazing. Great video.

dozerman53111

I'm intrigued to find out what your plans are for the orange/yellow pickup truck parked on the side of your shop. I hope that it's a new-ish truck for you!

Sue Rollinson

I could sense the debate when it ran away, film it blowing or try and save it? Nice save Wes and you still got the drama on camera.

Chris Jenkins

If you do happen to need anything that's only available in Canada, feel free to reach out. I can basically see the border from my kitchen window, so it's no big deal for me to "broker" something (It also helps that I know most of the customs folks on a professional basis)

Brendan Hood

I'm no good at it either.

Watch Wes Work

I thought for sure it was coming apart!

Watch Wes Work

Glad you could reach the fuel hose...it must have been a very tense moment. Charles

Charles Blair

Mine is a Greenard. I bought it when I was maybe 25 and figured I'd never use it. I use the thing several times a week!

Watch Wes Work

She is getting squared away. I like that arbor press, I saw one at an junk store but the guy would not sell it he was a car guy too.

Eric Corse

I loved the snow poofs coming through the holes in the bucket when you back bladed. I drove one of that style bobcat 45 years ago. I could do fine on dirt, gravel, but sucked at driving on pavement. When I was trying for delicate maneuvers, I would get it bucking like a bronco. Maybe it had to do with the sloppy controls. Nice video as always.
