I'm sure you mastered it, the engines share heritage with the old grey Massey Fergussons so they aren't anything fancy that's for sure. I think the US cars had Stromberg carbs fitted, I hope they didn't give you too much trouble the SU carburettors are much better in my opinion. The Triumph 2000, and 2500 MK2 (sedans, wagons / saloons, estates) with a 2L or 2.5L straight 6 engine were assembled here in NZ and as a result were fairly popular, they came out with "PI" Pressure Injection mechanical fuel injected version as well which was one of the first mass produced fuel injected cars... you can imagine how reliable it was. I have converted them to electronic fuel injection before, with the individual throttle bodies a nice exhaust and a hot cam, they sound fantastic! Triumph also had a GT6 which was essentially a Spitfire with the 6 cylinder engine in it, a popular conversion for owners wanting more power was to drop the 6cyl engine in.
