Interesting failure - looks like the failed spark plug acted like a cutting torch! Did the smell of the smoke not give you any clues as to the cause Wes?

Just criminal what they did to people.

2023-12-11 00:04:49 +0000 UTCI bought a 2012 Tucson for the warranty. In 2018 at 80,000 the engine self destructed. They put a used engine in. It drank oil and ticked loudly. I traded it in for $4500 during the used car shortage. I couldn’t believe I got that much for it. You just explained it.

2023-12-10 18:45:34 +0000 UTCLooked like the cylinder tops had relief cuts for valves, which makes me wonder if something got in through the intake and wound up between the head and cylinder, which smashed off the end of the spark plug when it busted through the cylinder top, too. I'll wager the contents of the oil pan are all spangles and shiny, too.
