Yes, or remove the open-centre solenoid from the manifold, thus allowing the bypass valve to work properly.

The hydraulics setup is pretty much standard for a skid steer except the winch pump. The track pumps should be able to make matching flow, but getting it to actually do it in real life will be tricky.

Happy Christmas. A parallel manifold seems sensible. Couldn't you just move the blade onto the spare closed-centre solenoid valve? Then the configuration would be fine.

The mix of open/closed center does seem odd for a machine meant to operate remotely and with widely varying demands on the hydraulic system. The grapple having an accumulator makes sense. Why the lifting arms are also not so fitted, suggests a high enough demand "droops" the drag--and that can't be intentional. The "stack" of hydraulic systems is boggeling me, though, not feeding the tack motors equally suggests the beast wants to creep in a circle when any other hydraulic demand occurs. UNless, the electronics were meant to monitor how many hydraulic functions wer ein use, and modulate the throttle accordingly (as there appears to be no governor).

I did. I got an email from both professors who designed it. They sold the machine about 10 years ago and had not seen it since. They sent me some pictures and some operating instructions.

I'm right there with you on the hydraulics - not sure how that could work with the one valve returning all the flow back to the tank. Maybe it's some sort of safety feature? Maybe the blade has to be all the way up before any other system can build pressure? But that seems like it would really limit the functionality of the blade?
