A little peek at the logging robot remote control.

I think it might even work...

Gotta remember to come over here too watch!

Truly love you guys! Wes, you are a very talented, knowledgeable man, to create all those diodes & transistors, etc. for that robotic apparatus. your detail into the unknown is fascinating, by no means do I totally understand, but grasp a tiny portion of it. Archie

Soo exciting. I didn’t comment on your emergency repair vid as I am a building inspector in Canada and was shaking in my boots. Did the trick though. 😁

Sam Ellison

So ready for this!

Stephen mowrey

Great job Wes. I knew you would fix it. Can't wait to see it in action !

The joy stick control looks easy enough that even Max and your son could do remote logging, or possibly Max could use it to fulfill fetch requests.

A rare sighting of Mrs Wes in the workshop during winter! Looks like you've been able to utilise some off the shelf driver modules together with an Arduino to drive the show. I have zero knowledge about hydraulic control, but assuming the soleniods can be PWM controlled it looks like you're onto a winner there.

David Yates

Your shop looks very nice; clean.

WILLIAM gilbert

Impressive work as always Wes, can't wait to see the process of deduction and the big moment 👍🏻 .

Max Chaplin

I’m excited to see the full video

The visual feedback with the lights is a great idea, also the fact that it's big makes it cooler right? If you have to wear it on your back then it's even better!

Kowyn Hibbert (Warrior of the Rusty Wrench)

Now this is a breadboard!

Chris Jenkins

How can it not?? It's already neat with the lights. Cool can't miss.

Jay VanLanduyt

It’s like that movie RobotJox. But sadder. :-) Can’t wait for the gory details.

Blake Field

I hope so.

Watch Wes Work

It's a good idea. I should be able to implement it pretty quickly.

Nice

We'll go into all the gory details!

Mrs Wes does a good job as demonstrator. Very smart to have the indicator lights, too. Although, I would have been sore tempted--against all notions of simplicity--to have two sets of indicators. One for the remote, and another on the unit. As the robot is meant to operate autonomously, it would seem prudent to have a light on the unit to indicate which function is activated. Simple safety stuff. Now, breadboarding LED linear lamps to indicate 'amount' of control input at the remote might be useful. "Might" being the operative word. The proof of concept is right there, right now, well enough. And, the preview survived donkey-powered internet uploading on super-something(tm) Sunday, too.

CapnMac82

This is gonna be cool.

Jay VanLanduyt

Clever man reverse engineering that. Looking forward to seeing it in action! Willing to dive in a bit how you got it figured out in an upcoming vid?

Peter Church

Nice job!

Colin McElduff

You'll be logging in no time.

Dennis Lesh

Awesome!
