Well That Was Nothing
Added 2021-07-05 04:38:03 +0000 UTCSo, I spent most of the afternoon attempting to upgrade my render computer. Turns out my motherboard needs a BIOS upgrade before it will boot with the CPU I bought. And I don't have an older compatible CPU to run the upgrade with. Luckily EVGA has upgraded BIOS chips for said motherboard. So, it's back on the old hardware for a while. Yay.
