Update on Cyn City Council content

Hey all! I've been meaning to make this post, but I needed to be sure this was the direction I wanted to go first.

So I've talked a little bit about the fact that I record reaction content differently now. In order to make editing easier, now my recording style for reactions involves a lot of pausing, talking between takes or over the video, and backtracking as needed. While this new style helps a lot with streamlining edited content, it's not the best for trying to piece together full length reactions. My full length reactions are "watch alongs" because legally I can't show the original content and make money off of it- some people have told me this is what other Patreon reactors do, and that's great if it works for them, but it is illegal and I'm not comfortable with that route. So my old reactions were no video/sound, just my reactions and I added a timestamp so people can follow along. That old method doesn't work with the constant pausing and talking I do now.

Thus, I will not be producing full length videos for TV shows like I did with "The Boys". Not only does it not fit my new recording style, but those videos are a little redundant. They take up a lot of time and space, and edited videos still have all the important commentary/reactions it's just basically the highlight reel.

I still want to do full length reactions for movies though! But I will need to figure out how I want to record those and I currently don't have plans to record anything outside TLOU for a bit.

In short, The Council tier right now is for early access to both gaming and reaction content. I'm actually thinking of lowering Council and adding other tiers, but that's a conversation for later once I figure out how movie reactions are going to go. I've specified on the tier page that Council just includes full length MOVIE reactions right now, but I realized I also needed to make a post.
