I am catching up on my podcasts/videos. Melissa's insights were so close to how I feel still about this situation. My husband has a 20-25 minute commute, but in the winter, I am waiting, holding my breath for him to text me he made it okay. He once had a horrible accident on the way to work, to this day when I pass that intersection, I say "Thank you, Lord!" Kobe Bryant was my nephew's namesake and he was the one who told my sister, who was a super Kobe fan, she and I have been saying the same thing for two weeks: "It feels like family."
