I think the Kennishes are more the protective type of parents and Regina is more of an independent mother. It's just a different parenting style and they don't know how to handle each other, because they just don't understand it better. Regina was right in that Daphne has to teach them about what it means to be deaf, so that they can have a better understanding on why Regina raises her the way she does.
What I always liked about this show is that out of all this mess Bay and Daphne were able to discover themselves and (staring to) become friends.

So excited for your reactions to this show. I'm glad to see you liked Bay more in this episode because she's one of my favorite characters from the show. It's definitely interesting to see how both families handle the switch.
