The Daihatsu Hijet is a microvan produced by the Japanese automaker Daihatsu. The name โHijetโ has been in use for Daihatsuโs Kei trucks and vans since 1960, over two decades before Toyota took control. โHijetโ, when transliterated into Japanese, is very similar to โMidgetโ, one of Daihatsuโs other mini-trucks.
