This OVAs teach you why Levi is the way he is now, on one of the last episodes of last season, when they were returning to the walls, and had to leave some missing people behind, one guy got mad at Erwin and Levi for not showing emotion for the lost camarads. After watching this OVAs you got to know why he is the way he is now. ๐ฅบ๐ฅบ

This symbolises stabbing yourself in the heart and your liver simultaneously, thereby quickly killing yourself. This is their way of saying that they are ready to sacrifice their life under that person's (the person they're saluting, usually a senior's) command.

2023-07-20 03:50:37 +0000 UTCLeviโs first beast mode still brings tears to my eyes ๐ญ. The red eyes, if Iโm not mistaken, itโs symbolic to bloodlust. When a character (monster or hero, etc.) is out to kill or destroy something/someone, theyโll make the eyes red to represent the murderous intent (ex. โSeeing redโ). Because the Titan that Levi killed was an abnormal (remember one of the scouts said it and Levi ran in the direction he was pointing) they areโฆโฆ..โdifferentโ. Thatโs all I can say to avoid spoilers. Youโll see another โexampleโ soon.

2023-07-19 09:11:47 +0000 UTCThe titan in this episode was an abnormal so maybe the red eyes was a stylistic choice to make it look scarier. I think they made levi's eyes red to show how angry he was at annie for killing his squad.
